Introducing Dr. Martin Loftin

Dr. Martin LoftinMartin Loftin, D.C., H.H.P. believes therapeutic massage/bodywork, and chiropractic, supports recovery from bodily injuries caused from overuse and trauma, as well as helping people live a healthy and balanced life.

Martin’s interest in natural healing and healthcare lead him to the Body Mind College of San Diego in May of 1990. He first graduated as a massage technician and then as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner upon completion of a 1000-hour program. After many years working as a massage therapist, and co-owning the Center for Massage and Holistic Therapy, Martin left San Diego, California to pursue a four-year doctoral program in chiropractic healthcare at Life Chiropractic College West, from which he graduated in September of 2006. Martin is a licensed doctor of chiropractic, and holds national certification with both the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Not long after graduating as a doctor of chiropractic, Martin came to Sycamore Valley Chiropractic. With his vast educational background and experience in therapeutic massage/bodywork, he has been an invaluable adjunct to patient care.

During his time with Sycamore Valley Chiropractic, Martin’s studies have continued. He has completed several soft-tissue management system courses called Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) and is now full-body certified, with additional certification in Long Nerve Tract Release.

Our Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to Danville residents - Chiropractor Danville Our Doctor Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
